March 11 - Faith = Believe, Say, Corresponding Actions Rev. Adam Murrell/Trinity Christian Fellowship

Faith = Believe, Say, Corresponding Actions

Deuteronomy 30:19

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live

  • Witnesses- there are witnesses on Heaven & Earth watching us
  • We have free will to choose/ free moral agents
  • Why do we have to choose?
  • If He forced us to do everything He wanted, He would never know where our true heart was located.

Romans 8:1-2

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

  • If you are in Christ, and accept what Jesus has done for you; then you are free from the Law of sin & death
  • If you don’t accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior then you are under the Law of Sin & death

Galatians 3:13-14

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangeth on a tree”),

14 that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

  • Christ Paid the price for us
  • He took our penalty of the curse in Him
  • We receive the blessings of Abraham when we realize that we are righteous (right standing) with God through Faith in what Jesus did for us

Ephesians 1:3

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ

  • Hath Blessed – Past tense -Already done it
  • It’s not a matter of getting God to do something for you; it’s believing God has already done it/ Blessed you (we just have to access it)
  • The spiritual is Parent to the natural/ the spiritual creates the natural
  • Example- let there be Light & Light was
  • Call those things which be not as though they were

Romans 4:16-17

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

16 Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants—not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.

17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.

  • We gain all the spiritual blessings and promises by Faith
  • Share the Faith of Abraham/ Father of Faith
  • In Whom he Believed (past tense) Nothing could get Abraham to doubt God’s promises to him
  • We can speak of the non-existent things as if they already exist

Romans 5:2

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.

  • How do we get all these blessings that Jesus purchased for us?
  • We have access by Faith
  • By Faith we have access to Grace (Jesus) state of God’s Favor

Hebrews 11:1-3

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

  • Evidence of things NOT seen
  • By Faith the elders received a good report with God (do you want a good report from God?)
  • Worlds were framed by faith
  • The spiritual creates the natural/ physical

Hebrews 11:6

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

  • Believe, say, corresponding actions

Proverbs 23:7

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

  • Whatever we believe (have faith in) so are we
  • If our faith, what we believe is in line with the God’s promises that’s what we will receive (By Faith)

Proverbs 4:20-23

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

20 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.

22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

  • God’s Word is the secret to life for those who find it
  • Out of your heart (what you believe) flows the issues of life (forces of life)

Conclusion:

Believe, Say, Corresponding Actions

How come some people don’t get their prayers answered?

  • Devil will attach you with the power of suggestion
  • Thoughts to get you to doubt God’s word
  • To get you off what you are believing for
  • Don’t let anything contrary to the Word/ God’s promises depart from your mouth
  • Copy Abraham’s Faith/ Father of Faith
  • In Whom he Believed (past tense) Nothing could get Abraham to doubt God’s promises to him
  • Our actions can’t contradict what we are believing God for
  • A Double-minded man will receive nothing from the Lord

James 1:8

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

7-8 People like that are thinking two different things at the same time. They can never decide what to do. So they should not think they will receive anything from the Lord.
