Joy to Restore

Psalm 27:5-6 - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

6 And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Psalm 16:11 New King James Version

11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

  • We are living in a time of trouble, what should we do?

    • Run to the secret place, How? Offer sacrifice & offerings of Joy

      • In His presence is fullness of Joy

  • Let’s start today by just taking 1-2 mins praising and Thanking God

John 10:10 - Amplified Bible

10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

  • Enemy will only tell your words to discourage you, get you to doubt God’s word won’t come to pass in your life

  • Devil will speak only bad news (never hear I am going to bless you)

  • Devil’s words are designed to destroy what Jesus says

John 15:11 - King James Version

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

  • Jesus words will bring you joy (supernatural force)

    • If you are lacking joy, it’s because you have gotten away from the words of Jesus (good news)

    • If you are not listening to Jesus, you are listening to the words of somebody else (world, the enemy, your flesh)

      • Devils words bring doubt, fear, sorrow, grief, unbelief

  • My joy remains- implies joy can come and go (remain)

Proverbs 4:20-24 - Amplified Bible, Classic

20 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.

22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

24 Put away from you false and dishonest speech, and willful and contrary talk put far from you.

  • out of your heart flows the supernatural forces of life

  • Guard your heart

    • Gateways to the heart-what you see and what you hear

  • Stop all contrary talk; you can’t have what you speak against

Mark 4:14-15 - King James Version

14 The sower soweth the word.

15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

  • Why does satan want to steal the word immediately?

    • He doesn’t want to word to get into your heart

    • Without the word of Jesus there is no Joy; joy won’t remain

    • No joy no strength, no strength you wont resist (action word), you don’t resist devil won’t flee, if devil doesn’t flee you won’t win

    • Outside the words of Jesus there is no joy

Habakkuk 3:17-19 - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

17 Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls,

18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation!

19 The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!

  • You can take everything, but you can’t take my joy

  • There is a connection between joy and strength

  • There is a connection of strength and spiritual progress

Jeremiah 33:9-11 - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

9 And [Jerusalem] shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth that hear of all the good I do for it, and they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace, prosperity, security, and stability I provide for it.

10 Thus says the Lord: Yet again there shall be heard in this place of which you say, It is a desolate waste, without man and without beast—even in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast—

11 [There shall be heard again] the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing as they bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of the Lord, Give praise and thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy and kindness and steadfast love endure forever! For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed and return to be as it was at first, says the Lord.

  • Joy has a Voice

  • We Give voice to joy with praise & Thanksgiving (voice of the bride)

  • Sacrifices of Thanksgiving (do it when you don’t feel like it)

    • That’s why it’s a sacrifice

  • Then, I God will cause (not me) what the devil stole or took from me to be restored and returned as it was at first (Restoration 1-fold)

    • Praise Him in the storm

  • With story of Job, it was restored and return doubled (2-fold)

Proverbs 6:30-31 - King James Version

30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

  • The devil is a thief, I found you out

    • I know its you devil behind this, I found you out

  • If he is found he shall restore 7-fold return

  • Out of his whole substance; put your faith to work on this

    • You will be too expensive to mess with

  • Ephesians 3:20   King James Version

  • 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
