There’s Power in a Seed

Galatians 6:7 - The Passion Translation

7 Make no mistake about it, God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest.

Genesis 1:11-12 - King James Version (KJV)

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

• God said- speaking God’s word is a form of sowing seed

• A seed produces after its own kind

• The power of the seed is in itself

Genesis 8:22 - King James Version (KJV)

22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

• As long as the earth remains, Law of seedtime & harvest will remain

• We know cold/hot ,summer/winter, day/night

• We sow seed, time, then a harvest

  • Don’t give up before the harvest

  • Many of you gave up during the growth process

Matthew 4:4 - King James Version (KJV)

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.

• God’s word is seed that will produce in your life

• There’s power in a seed (God’s Word)

Genesis 26:12 - New King James Version

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him.

• There is Power for a 100 fold return in a seed

Matthew 9:27-30 - New King James Version

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”

• Do you believe God can do this?

• According to whose faith be it done unto you?

Luke 17:5-6 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 And the Lord said, “If you [a]had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would [b]obey you.

• Faith is like a seed, unless you plant it, it will not produce

• you sow or plant the seed by Saying

• Jesus didn’t say the problems would obey Him or the Holy Ghost

  • Problems would obey YOU

  • Faith speaks- faith filled words

John 15:7-8 - New American Standard Bible (NASB)

7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so [a]prove to be My disciples.

• Does God’s word abide in you?

  • After God’s word is in you, ask/say- you will have faith filled words

  • Ask- in faith, it will be done for you (no begging)
