“Having Ears to Hear”

Matthew 11:15 - Amplified Bible

15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words.

Matthew 13:14-16 - Amplified Bible

14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,

‘You will hear and keep on hearing, but never understand; And you will look and keep on looking, but never comprehend; 15 For this nation’s heart has grown hard, And with their ears they hardly hear, And they have [tightly] closed their eyes, Otherwise they would see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, and turn [to Me] And I would heal them [spiritually].’ 16 But blessed [spiritually aware, and favored by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.

Romans 12:2 - The Passion Translation

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

• Take time to plant God’s word seed into your heart

• Look at His word (read), mutter it to yourself, (eyes, ears, voice) (water the seed)

• Listening for the voice behind that verse; I want to hear from Heaven (Rhema)

17 [I always pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son]. 18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the [a]hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the [b]saints (God’s people),

• Faith comes from hearing and hearing the word

• The voice behind the verse

1 Corinthians 2:13-15 - Amplified Bible

13 We also speak of these things, not in words taught or supplied by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual thoughts with spiritual words [for those being guided by the Holy Spirit].

• Don’t get an arguments with spiritually discerned people (spiritually dead)

• Seek to be taught by the Holy Ghost (The Teacher)

John 16:13 - Amplified Bible

13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 - Amplified Bible

28 “Now it shall be, if you diligently listen to and obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all of His commandments which I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you pay attention to the voice of the Lord your God.
