VIRTUAL SERMON

SERMON NOTES:

Meditate the Word with Confession (prayer life)

Joshua 1:8- New King James Version

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

  • We should be saying what the word says

  • Thinking on it, pondering it

  • Then putting it to action in your life- Faith – practice it in your life- Do it

Psalm 1:2-3- New King James Version

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

  • Delight in the word of God/ happy to do it

  • Thinking on the word throughout the day/ reminding myself of the truth of what God says on about anything that comes my way

  • Renewing my mind, will, and emotions on the new creation I am now, I am righteous, I am saved, I am a child of God, I am a over comer, the blood of Jesus has been shed for me at the cross

  • Release the 7 fold grace of the blood of Jesus on you right now in Jesus name

Proverbs 18:20-21 - New King James Version

20 A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.  21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

  • Your life (stomach) will be determined by your words

  • What you say today will affect your tomorrows

  • Death & life, blessings & curses, positive & negatives, faith & fear are all in the power of YOUR tongue

Matthew 12:34-37 - New King James Version

34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

  • Your words will locate what you’ve been thinking about in your heart/ meditating upon

  • Your words will put you over or under in life, in trials, in circumstances

  • You better have a filter on that mouth of yours, what you say will come to pass in your life, because you are a child of God

1 Corinthians 1:27-28 - New King James Version

27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the [a]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

  • God uses the unseen spiritual forces of faith to bring to nothing the things that are (your problem, trial, situation)

  • Example Jesus said “peace” to the storm

    • At the time there was no peace; He called peace to bring to nothing the storm

  • Example Jesus said “be still” to the waves

    • At the time he said that the waves were not still, BUT stillness brought to Not the waves (nullify/ replace)

2 Corinthians 4:13 - New King James Version

13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,

  • Faith filled words

  • Believe it in your heart speak it with your mouth

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 - New King James Version

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

  • Things that are seen are temporary (can be changed)

  • There are spiritual forces not seen (law of faith)

Genesis 1:2-3 - New King James Version

The earth was without form, and void; and darkness [a]was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

  • God said let there be light to replace the darkness

  • God said what he wanted not what He had; He had darkness

  • Say what you want not what you have

Romans 4:17- New King James Version

17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

  • God changed his name to “father of many Nations”

  • Every time Abraham introduced himself, he was forced to confess what he was believing for (romans 10:17)

    • Speak Words/Call things by faith into existence to replace current situation

    • Had this right, because God SAID/ God promised; you will be the Father of many nations (before Isaac born)
