Dealing with a Hard Heart

Psalm 89:33-35 - New King James Version

33 Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not [a]utterly take from him,
Nor [b]allow My faithfulness to fail.  34 My covenant I will not break,
Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.  35 Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David:

• God’s faithful to His Word

• Won’t break His covenant word

• If he said it, He wont go back on it- He can’t lie

Revelation 12:7-12 - New King James Version

7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they [a]did not prevail, nor was a place found for [b]them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

• Heaven got rid of Satan, and soon the earth will too

• Accuser of the brethren/ children of God (same tricks- did it in heaven, did it to Job, did it to you)

• Overcome by Jesus Blood (what Jesus has done, His performance)

• Word of our Testimony- say what the God says

Proverbs 4:20-23 - New International Version

20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.
21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.  23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

• Pay attention (think on), ears, eyes

Joshua 1:8 - New Living Translation

8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

• Just don’t read, study the book

• Meditate- think on, roll over in your mind, say it to yourself

• Obey it- faith without works is dead (prove your faith to yourself with corresponding actions)

Psalm 1:1-3 - New Living Translation

1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
    or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.  3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.  Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

• Where do you run for advice (the word or the world)

• Meditate- think on, roll over in your mind, say it to yourself

• Prosper in all that they do (family, business, health, relationships)
