SERMON NOTES:

Bringing Glory to God

Introduction:

  • Make a demand on my Word, My Promises, My covenant!

  • You have not, because you ask not (we need to ask more)

    • Assignment to bring more Glory to God

  • Not self-humility, Not greed, It’s Not selfishness to ask & believe for what God said we could have

2 Corinthians 1:20 - New King James Version

20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

  • Glory – manifested promises (through us)

2 Corinthians 2:14 - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

14 But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere,

  • God’s people need to be so blessed (salvation, wholeness) that non-believers will want to know why?

  • Then it is testimony time- Harvest time for souls

  • If every time something good happens you say Halleluiah, glory to God, that’s the favor of God compared to others using God’s name in vain

1 John 5:14-15 - New King James Version

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

  • Whatever, anything, everything (stop putting limits on God)

  • What’s his will? (His word)

    • Find the scriptures that agree with what you are believing for

Matthew 18:18-19 - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

18 Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.

19 Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.

  • Whatever, anything, everything (stop putting limits on God)

  • It will come to pass/ It will be done

    • Answered prayer Brings glory to God

Matthew 6:10 - New King James Version

10 Your kingdom come.  Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

John 14:13-14 - New King James Version

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

  • Whatever/ anything in Jesus name (power in the name, don’t take it lightly)

  • Bring more glory to the Father

John 15:7-8 - New Living Translation

7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! 8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

  • Remain in Christ, Abide, stay united to Jesus (true vine)

  • God’s words remain in you (meditate, believe, agreement- get your 2-3 scriptures)

Conclusion:

  • Make a demand on His Word, His Promises, His covenant!

  • You have not, because you ask not (we need to ask more)

    • Assignment to bring more Glory to God

  • Not self-humility, Not greed, It’s Not selfishness to ask & believe for what God said we could have
