James 4:3-4 - New Living Translation

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

You adulterers![a] Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

1 John 5:4 - New Living Translation

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

Galatians 5:6 - Modern English Version

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith which works through love.

Romans 4:18-25 - Amplified Bible

18 In hope against hope Abraham believed that he would become a father of many nations, as he had been promised [by God]: “So [numberless] shall your descendants be.” 19 Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, 21 being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised22 Therefore his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God). 23 Now not for his sake alone was it written that it was credited to him, 24 but for our sake also—to whom righteousness will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead— 25 who was betrayed and crucified because of our sins, and was raised [from the dead] because of our justification [our acquittal—absolving us of all sin before God].

  • His faith grew strong as He gave God Glory, Praise & Worship

    • There is Power in Thankful heartfelt Praise

    • God looks at the heart of a person

  • Fully convinced and persuaded that God was able to do what He promised

  • We are made in right standing by God by our Faith (righteous)

  • Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead for our righteousness

Hebrews 10:23 - New International Version

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 13:14-15 - Amplified Bible

14 For here we have no lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.  15 Through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

Psalm 100:3-5 - Amplified Bible

Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the Lord Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, [a]not we ourselves [and we are His].
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy and lovingkindness are everlasting,
His faithfulness [endures] to all generations.

Psalm 118:21 - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

21 I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me; and You have become my Salvation and Deliverer.
