SUNDAY SERMON

SERMON NOTES:

Loving Father

Galatians 5:6 - New King James Version

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

John 3:15-17 - New King James Version

15 that whoever believes in Him should [a]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Galatians 4:5-7 - New King James Version

to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, [a]“Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir [b]of God [c]through Christ.

1 John 4:9-11 - New King James Version

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:15-19 - New King James Version

15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love [a]Him because He first loved us.

Romans 8:15-16 - New King James Version

15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,[a] Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Romans 5:1-5 - New King James Version

Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces [b]perseverance; and perseverance, [c]character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

  • Hope in God’s love for me will never fail

John 17:20 - New King James Version

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [a]will believe in Me through their word;

John 17:23 - New King James Version

23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

John 17:26 - New King James Version

26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

I Corinthians - 13:8

Love never Fails
