SUNDAY SERMON:

NOTES:

My New Life!

1 John 3:8 King James Version (KJV)

He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

  • Disease and viruses are of the devil

  • Poverty and lack are of the devil

  • Worry, anxiety, fear of the devil

  • Jesus came from heaven to destroy the works of the devil

    • He did this over 2000 years ago

  • We are working from a place of victory keeping sickness, lack, negative emotions off us

    • We are the healed already, trying to keep sickness and germs off us

    • We are the rich & abundant already, keeping lack & poverty off us

    • We are self-disciplined and have a sound mind, casting down imaginations depression and fear bringing it to the obedience of Christ

John 10:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

  • Only to steal, kill, and destroy

    • How?

      • Injects Fear, doubt, worry, unbelief (panic)

  • Attacks health, finances, emotions (redeemed from the curse of the law 10 commandments)

  • We live by the New Covenant (Grace)

  • We receive from God

    • Mercy (don’t get what we deserve)

    • Grace (favor- spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially)

John 10:27-28 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me.

28 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.

  • Are you listening for God’s voice (exercise your hearing)?

  • Jesus knows you personally (I know them)

  • Jesus is the Great Shepard we are the sheep [to feed, guide, and shield me] Psalm 23:1

    • The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

  • Never perish- here is the outcome of life- you win

Matthew 12:36-37 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

37 For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.

  • Give an account of every idle word (loose lips sink ships)

    • Every inoperative, nonworking word spoken

  • Your words will either set you free or keep you captive in your life

  • You will never rise above or higher than the words (authority) that you speak (give power to)

Romans 10:8-10 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach,

Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

  • Put words of Faith on your lips and in your heart

  • Keep saying, keep believing

1 Corinthians 1:28 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

28 and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,

  • God’s method- speak the things you want or desire

    • Stop saying what you have (you’ll get more of the same)

    • You reap what you sow

    • Don’t say how “it is” (feel otherwise I am lying)

      • We live by faith, we walk by faith (not what we see, feel, or circumstances)

      • you are just saying what the word and Jesus say about you (is that Lying)

Romans 4:17 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

17 (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believedeven God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.

  • Abraham called the father of faith, why?

  • Because he believed God

  • God speaks things into existence God calls things that be not as though they are

Conclusion:

  • (next 30 days) what do you need, want, desire?

    • Imagine with your faith

  • Pray daily (not just on Sunday)

    • Curse this virus, and throw itself into the sea

    • Speak words of life to nurses, Dr.’s, police, firemen, truck drivers

  • Don’t side against God’s word, don’t speak against what you are praying for

  • We are redeemed from the curse (spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially, and in every area of our lives)
