Faithful in Little, much will be Given
Isaiah 1:19 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;
Are you willing? Eager (good attitude)
Are you obedient? (faith without works is dead) James 2:26
The Lord is more interested in obedience than sacrifice
More interested in faithfulness than self-righteous works
The promise is you’ll eat the good of the Land
Relationships, money, job promotion
Romans 8:14-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,[a] Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Living post Jesus- we are led by the Holy Spirit
This takes place of the Law (10 commandments)
Example: The Holy Spirit puts it in your heart to bless someone
Smile, word of encouragement, pay their car or house payment
The Spirit bears witness with our spirit
Are you willing & obedient to do it?
Know to do right and not do it is sin
Psalm 37:4 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
Delight- willingness, do you want to do it
Good attitude, God looks at the heart of a man
He will give you the secret petitions of your heart
He knows what you desire better than you know (secret)
Matthew 25:14-30
vs 14 -Entrusted with the master’s property
We are managers, everything good comes from the Lord
The whole earth and everything there in is the Lord’s
Vs 15 gives according to our personal ability (proportionately)
Vs 16 5 talent guy went AT ONCE (willing and obedient)
Vs 17 Likewise (willing and obedient) 2 talent guy did the same
Vs 19 Now after a long time (may not be instant or right away)
Seedtime & Harvest (Genesis 8:22)
Time is needed to give your sowing time to grow into a harvest
Time is needed to see your true heart, attitude, faithfulness
Then God will settle accounts
Vs 20 Master you entrusted me
His desire was to please the master
Be honorable, good attitude (willing), & obedient
Vs 21 faithful in little, put in charge of much
Enter Joy, share in the Joy (the delight and blessedness), which your Master enjoys
The Master Enjoys blessing us; that makes Him Joyful (Psalm 37:4)
Vs 22 You entrusted me (honorable loyal) privilege that he would be trusted by the Lord
Vs 23 well done good and faithful servant (God is looking at your faithfulness) your heart
Vs 24 Saying-out of the abundance of the heart your mouth speaks (Luke 6:45)
His inner dialogue was wrong (negative bad attitude)
Not willing not obedient
Vs 25 He was afraid (he let fear contaminate his faith)
His inner dialogue caused him to be afraid
Vs 28 The person with the 10 talents is a good manger (investment in the kingdom of God)
Good fertilizer (reaps better harvest)
Example: why do we give to some big ministries’ vs some smaller one’s
Led by the Spirit of God, but we are looking for good soil
How do you become good soil?
Matthew 6:33 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
33 But seek ([a]aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([b]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [c]taken together will be given you besides.
Whole parable is a test of the heart-loyalty, honor, faithfulness
God’s interested in your heart-not your work ethic or your money
He knows how many talents he gave you already
He knows how much you would be capable of if you went 100% all out for God
Vs. 29 Abundance Law
Everyone who has more will be given
He will be furnished richly in abundance
2 Corinthians 9:8 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [a]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need [b]be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].
