Understanding the First Fruits Principle
Introduction:
Sunday Worship-1st day of the week (The Lord’s Day)
My success for the week starts on Sunday
Jesus rose from the day on Easter Sunday
When your desires, plans, & ideas become more important to you than God, you have adopted the attitude of Lucifer (devil himself)
What happens when you don’t obey God?
Satan-archangel kicked out of heaven
Adam & Eve kicked out of Eden
You give first fruits to God or the Priest to bless it
Why? according to Moses (Leviticus)The priests’ hands are anointed
Fed 5K – brought 2 fish and 5 bread to Jesus hands where he blessed it
Matthew 6:33 - Amplified Bible
33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
God demands to be 1st in your life (not a suggestion)
Jesus must be Lord (first place) in your life
Only when God is first, can you receive:
God’s prosperity, peace that passes all understanding, joy unspeakable, angels encamp around you, He removes impossible mountains, open doors of favor & opportunity (new wine/ new anointing.
Make Him first place and your life will be paradise on the earth

Romans 11:16 - Amplified Bible
16 If the first portion [of dough offered as the first fruits] is holy, so is the whole batch; and if the root (Abraham, the patriarchs) is holy, so are the branches (the Israelites).
First Fruits sanctifies the coming Fruit
Jesus gave Himself as a first fruits for us
If Jesus is Holy, we who believe on Jesus are Holy
If Jesus is Righteous, we who believe on Him are righteous
If God Raised Jesus from the dead, we who believe on Jesus will be raised from the dead
God the Father gave us His only begotten Son, even while we still sinners as a first fruit for us
Genesis 4:2-7 - Amplified Bible
2 And [later] she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept the flocks [of sheep and goats], but Cain cultivated the ground. 3 And in the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground. 4 But Abel brought [an offering of] the [finest] firstborn of his flock and the [a]fat portions. And the Lord had respect (regard) for Abel and for his offering; 5 but for Cain and his offering He had no respect. So Cain became extremely angry (indignant), and [b]he looked annoyed and hostile. 6 And the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you so angry? And why do you look annoyed? 7 If you do well [believing Me and doing what is acceptable and pleasing to Me], will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well [but ignore My instruction], sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you [to overpower you], but you must master it.”
Cain- agriculture – offering of the fruit of the land
Gave on his terms (doesn’t say the first or the best of crops)
Made sure he had enough before he gave to God
Gave The leftovers, not his best. Have you given God leftovers?
Let me pay mortgage., car, credit cards, light bill, gas so high now a days, kids school, (on, on, and on)
Able- Sheep & goats- the finest- firstborn- the choice/ portions
Requires faith- Able doesn’t know how many more lambs that mama lamb will produce? (Takes Faith, God will provide for the future)
Genesis 22:2 - Amplified Bible
2 God said, “Take now your son, your only son [of [a]promise], whom you love, Isaac, and go to the region of [b]Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
Heard God’s voice and obeyed (next verse says rose early the next morning and saddled up his donkey)
No delay, once he heard from God
Took faith by Abraham & Isaac’s to the point of death (Father & Jesus)
Abraham didn’t know if he would have more sons, but trusted God
Vs 5 Abraham prophecies/ says to his men that He & Isaac will be back wait here for us
believed to the point that God would raise Isaac from the dead if he had to (didn’t put his kids in front of God)
Genesis 22:6-14 - King James Version
6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
Abraham considered Father of Faith understood the principle/ law of First Fruits
Lord looks at the heart of a man- stopped Abraham knife in the air
he saw Abraham’s heart on the situation and knew Abraham put God first above all else
promised son-faith for years believing God; still willing to give Isaac up
The Lord requires to be First place in every area of our lives
Faith- that God would provide- Jehovah Jireh- God’s provision shall be seen (manifestation)
You will never enjoy all of God’s supernatural prosperity or this life until you decide to Seek Him First-your finances are proof to you
