2 Corinthians 5:16-21 - The Message
16-20 Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life emerges! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you.
21 How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God.
Fresh start – Born Again- New Creation in Christ
Good relationship with God; He loves us
Calls us righteous- right standing with Him
Love others enough to tell them what God is doing and has done for you and wants to for them (Love others enough to speak of God’s goodness)
Faith works by Love- Love others to open your mouth in faith in love
Romans 8:1-2 - New King James Version
Free from Indwelling Sin
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Sin brings fear- God doesn’t love me, He won’t heal me, won’t provide for me, so on and so on
Jesus paid the price for our sin; your set free: God’s not mad at you
Learn to crucify your flesh and live by your new created spirit

Deception is:
Lying, twisting the truth, exaggerating, half truths, gossip
Become the norm and a lifestyle for some Christians
Anger
Ephesians 4:26-27 - New Living Translation
26 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.”[a] Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Amplified describes foothold as an opportunity to the devil
Devil constantly looking for an opportunity to devour
Unholy Anger will quench the anointing and favor
Stealing
Ephesians 4:28 - New Living Translation
28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.
Cashier gives you too much change back
Goof off at work and still receive pay for work you didn’t do
Malachi tithes and offerings to God
Rebuke the devour and keep windows of heaven open for you
Allows God to protect & provide
Sins of the mouth
Ephesians 4:29-30 - New King James Version
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary [a]edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Murmuring, complaining, criticizing others, constantly talking about your problems
Your communication is corrupt and grieving the Holy Spirit
Putting more faith in problem than the Holy Spirit
Negative talk saddens and hurts Him
Make a commitment and quality decision to break these unholy alliances
Galatians 5:16 - New King James Version
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Learn to walk by your spirit!
Before Jesus coming to the earth there was no way for us to be led by the Holy Ghost
Set your minds to things of the spirit, and you will have life & peace
Stay Full of God
Pray, sing, praise, worship, talk to Him, read the word, listen to the word, speak in tongues, fast
Renew your mind in who you are in Christ- identity
Example : spirit, soul, body (3 man)
