PRAISE AND WORSHIP

SUNDAY SERMON

SERMON NOTES:

No Fear Here

2 Timothy 1:7 - Amplified

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

  • Fear is a spirit not from God; we need to reject & resist fear

    • Biggest fear- believing what God said won’t come to pass in our lives

  • Job said the thing that I fear the most has come upon me

    • Faith and Fear are magnets in the spirit realm

      • Faith is God’s way to get what Jesus already provided for into your life (Hebrews 11:6 impossible to please God w/out faith)

      • FEAR- gigantic lie- Father of Lies- accuser of the brethren

Isaiah 55:9-11 - New Living Translation

For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens
and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
    producing seed for the farmer
    and bread for the hungry.
11 It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

  • When will you decide and commit to God’s Word with your life?

  • If God’s Word says it; I believe it (settle it in your heart)

Jeremiah 1:12 - Amplified Bible

12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.

  • Always thinking to myself; what am I believing for Next?

  • The Lord is actively looking for someone to show Himself faithful too

    • 2 Chronicles 16:9

Psalm 89:33-34 - New King James Version

33 Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not [a]utterly take from him, Nor [b]allow My faithfulness to fail34 My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

  • If God said it, won’t He do it? God is not a man that he would lie

  • God’s word is His bond

1 John 4:17-19 - Amplified Bible

17 In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. 19 We love, because [a]He first loved us.

  • Receiving God’s love

  • Realizing God loves you like He loves you secrets to getting rid of fear

Isaiah 41:10-11 - Amplified Bible

10 Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
11 “Indeed, all those who are angry with you will be put to shame and humiliated;
Those who strive against you will be as nothing and will perish.

Matthew 28:19-20 - New King James Version

19 Go [a]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [b]Amen.

  • Supernatural strength comes when you believe and know God is with you

  • Romans 8:31 (who can be against you)

1 Corinthians 15:57 - New King James Version

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Our victory comes through faith in what Jesus has already accomplished is enough

Isaiah 54:17 - Amplified Bible

17“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.
